Walking down the road,
voices chiming and rhyming,
we're getting ready for the night.
You can feel it in the smiles on our faces
The speed of our thoughts rushing ahead

Once we were angry
hatred in our hearts
ridicule in our eyes
for a world obscene
the people for turning

Life got dark
the drugs didn't work

Some days were good
We were

Some days seemed perfect
but left us in tears

I fell in love with a girl
People warned me
I'd wake up alone
Holding on to emptiness
But only a fool would have listened

Now I have a smile
that resides within my soul
And I'll hold on
For as long as she wants to stay

Back in '76

We were wide boys, dressed in baggy old jackets
tight jeans and daft smiles

We'd swallow hard and jump
Yeah! Jump boys! Jump boys!

Down the local dance hall on a Saturday night,
Amphetamine sulphate rush, blind bodies
Flying and jiving, pushin and shovin
Sweatin and laffin with it all

But the greatest of 'em all was that Wilco, machine gun firing
He'd have the boys rocking n rolling all the night long

Who are those nice lookin gals in the video
Look like Jimmy Saville's tame little friends
They should have come down the road
Let us throw a few shapes
Jive the night away
Far from the creeps and monsters
Goodnight Goodnight

Can you lose yourself in a voice? If so, how do you get back...

Does it really matter? Why would one want to return?

How do you find beauty in sadness...with a smile

When a chord chimes with your soul, and you close your eyes and fly away,
When you look up and see Wendy smiling down at you,
Peter Pan holding out a hand...
